CUMNOCK ACTION PLAN 2016-2021
Cumnock Get Creative Festival
17–25 March 2018
From guerrilla gardening in your street to paint by numbers in your local library, via nail art, yarn bombing and singing in a choir, Cumnock Action Plan are aiming to build an actively creative community that caters for everyone of every age, background and ability. The Festival aims to inspire people to try something new at home or at a Get Creative event and to encourage people to share their own examples of everyday creativity.
The Get Creative 2018 Microfund invites Cumnock based groups and projects to apply for a grant of up to £100.00 to put on an event during the Get Creative Festival from 17–25 March 2018. We are looking to support events that aim to engage new participants and volunteers in a creative cultural activity. The Get Creative Cumnock Microfund has been made possible through funding from the Corra Foundation.
Applicants to the fund must aim to recruit new volunteers, audiences and participants. Examples could include 'come and try' workshops, open days, special performances and open rehearsals, with applications be made to cover costs such as printing publicity materials, online advertising, craft materials, tutor costs, refreshments, etc.
This fund is only open to Cumnock based groups and projects. It doesn't mean though, that groups can't be involved in Get Creative Festival itself. Involvement in this national Festival is open to groups up and down the country.
The fund is open for applications from Tuesday 7th February at 9am and will close on Monday 5th March 2018 at 12 noon. Successful applications will be notified by Wednesday 7th March.
Applications can be picked up from Cumnock Town Hall; Cumnock Library; Yipworld and Barrhill Centre. Forms can also be downloaded HERE
